Dry Needling

Myofascial trigger point dry needling

Myofascial trigger point dry needling is gaining popularity due to its effectiveness in treating painfully tight muscles. We locate painful trigger points (commonly known as knots) in the muscle and then insert a single use, sterile needle into the trigger point.

Patients commonly feel an ache when the needle comes in contact with the trigger point and after a few seconds to a few minutes, the needle is then removed and the muscle begins to feel better. Dry needling is primarily used for stubborn trigger points that don't relax with traditional massage techniques.
